Deleting a transmittal

Deleting a transmittal removes the transmittal briefcase from the vault but does not remove its tracking information from the transmittal database. You can delete a transmittal in two ways:

• Select the transmittal and use the Delete command
• Revoke the workflow of a new transmittal

Warning    Deleting a submittal that was created for a new transmittal recipient as described in Selecting the recipients of a transmittal may prevent the creation of another submittal by the same method. This can be avoided by preventing use of the document Delete or workflow revoke commands in VBScript until the transmittal is closed. A workaround if the submittal is deleted is to delete and replace the transmittal recipient and then create a new submittal.
